The company
It started as an argument.

Veltrix began in 2011 with an argument about voltage. The founding engineering team had spent a decade building 400-volt drivetrains and had run out of patience with what that limit did to charging times. The company was established to build the opposite: a production vehicle architected at 800 volts from the first sketch, where fast charging was a property of the design rather than a feature bolted on afterward.
The first Arcen was delivered in 2014 to an owner in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It charged at 210 kW at a time when most production vehicles peaked below 90. The architecture that made that possible — now called VLX-800 — still underpins every vehicle Veltrix builds, which is why a 2014 Arcen and a 2026 Vantor plug into the same stall and speak the same protocol.
The company chose to remain a manufacturer rather than a platform supplier. Veltrix sells directly through its own Experience Centers, services vehicles through its own technicians, and operates its own charging network. Owning the whole path from the cell to the service bay is slower and more expensive. It also means there is nobody else to blame when something is wrong, which the company considers the point.

2014
First Arcen delivered
Production begins at Calder Works. The first customer vehicle charges at 210 kW — more than double the class average at the time.
2017
Veltrix Current opens
The first twelve charging sites open along the Great Lakes corridor, built and operated by Veltrix rather than a third party.
2019
Basin Works begins cell production
Cell manufacturing moves in-house in Sparks, Nevada, cutting pack cost by 22 percent and removing a single point of supply failure.
2021
Korrin enters production
The compact SUV becomes the highest-volume vehicle in the range within eleven months of launch.
2024
Closed Loop program announced
Veltrix commits to recovering 94 percent of pack materials by mass from every vehicle it takes back, by 2032.
2026
Ridge and Torren GT confirmed
The range extends in both directions at once — a working pickup and a tri-motor grand tourer, on the same platform.

Three sites, all of them ours.
Veltrix assembles its own vehicles, makes its own cells, and validates its own figures. Nothing published on this site was measured by somebody else.
Calder Works

Vehicle assembly and engineering
1.9 million square feet. All six vehicles are assembled on two lines that share a common body shop, and the engineering group sits inside the same building as the line it designs for.

Sparks, Nevada
Cell and pack production
Cell manufacture, module assembly and pack finishing. Also houses the Closed Loop recovery pilot, where returned packs are disassembled for material recovery.

Every published cold-weather range figure is measured here at 20°F, on the same 112-mile loop, with the same tire specification the vehicle ships on.

Ines Radovic
Chief Executive Officer
A founding engineer on the VLX-800 program, Ines Radovic led powertrain development for eight years before taking the chief executive role in 2020. Still signs off on every charging curve the company publishes.
Marcus Hale
Chief Engineering Officer
Responsible for vehicle architecture, chassis and drivetrain. Joined Veltrix in 2013 from commercial vehicle engineering, which is where the Ridge's towing program came from.
Priya Anand
Chief Design Officer
Leads exterior, interior and interface design. Introduced the full-width light signature in 2018 and has resisted removing physical controls from the drive-mode rotary ever since.
Tomas Berg
Chief Operations Officer
Runs Calder Works and Basin Works, plus the service and logistics network. Brought cell production in-house in 2019 and has kept both plants on a single shift pattern since.
