Veltrix Automotive, Inc. ("Veltrix", "we") collects personal information in order to sell, deliver, service and support vehicles. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share vehicle data with insurers, advertisers or data brokers.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your vehicle, and a limited amount of information collected automatically when you use this website.
- Contact and order information: name, address, email address, telephone number, and the details of any vehicle you order, finance or trade in.
- Service records: work performed on your vehicle, parts fitted, and diagnostic data read during a service visit.
- Vehicle data: charging history, fault codes, software version, and odometer reading. Location data is stored on the vehicle and is transmitted to Veltrix only when you request roadside assistance or explicitly enable a feature that requires it.
- Website data: pages visited and referring source, collected in aggregate. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers on this site.
How we use it
We use personal information to fulfil orders, arrange delivery, provide service and warranty support, operate the Veltrix Current network, meet safety and recall obligations, and improve vehicle software.
Where we rely on your consent — for example, to send you product updates — you may withdraw it at any time without affecting any service you have already received.
Vehicle data and your control over it
Vehicle data is stored on the vehicle by default. Diagnostic and charging data is transmitted to Veltrix to support warranty, safety and network operation. You can review what your vehicle has transmitted, and disable optional transmission, from the Privacy menu of the Halo display.
Disabling optional data transmission does not affect your warranty. It may prevent remote diagnosis, which means a fault that could have been resolved by Mobile Bay may require a workshop visit.
Sharing
We share personal information only with parties who need it to deliver a service you have asked for: finance providers where you apply for finance, installation partners where you order a home charger, and transport providers where a vehicle is delivered to your address.
We disclose information to regulators or law enforcement only where we are legally required to, and we will tell you when we do unless we are prohibited from doing so.
Retention
Order and finance records are kept for seven years to meet tax and consumer credit obligations. Service records are kept for the life of the vehicle, because a subsequent owner is entitled to them. Website analytics are retained in aggregate for 24 months and are not linked to an individual.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to retain it, and object to processing based on legitimate interests.
